Lauren Edgington

Lauren holds a Masters in Applied Economics as well as a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Clemson University. She spent her initial years post graduate at Goldman Sachs & Co in New York, NY. Due to her interest in the healthcare industry, she moved from banking and ultimately relocated back to Florida where she held many positions for the next seven years at UnitedHealth Group, including regional CFO roles with government programs being her primary focus.

Lauren served another five plus years at Aetna, as Regional CFO, also supporting various governmental programs until she transitioned her focus from the HMO/insurance side to the provider side. In June 2015 she joined DaVita Medical Group (formerly JSA Healthcare) where she oversaw various departments including the affiliate operations and contracting, data and analytics, and all finance departments while serving as a member of the Florida executive team. 

Lauren continues to work with physician based organizations overseeing strategy and financials, ensuring her experience maximizes the providers ability to grow profitably while keeping up with the frequent changes from CMS and the insurance programs.

Matt Armstrong

Matt has spent the last ten years helping healthcare organizations evolve by raising capital, facilitating strategic partnerships and leading mergers and acquisitions. 

From 2015-2018 he served as Vice President of Corporate Development for DaVita Medical Group (formerly Healthcare Partners) where he led acquisitions of independent medical groups and contracting with physicians interested in becoming independent affiliates. During that time, he focused specifically on Medicare Advantage (and other forms of value-based and risk sharing models), valuing physician practices, and strategic growth opportunities for independent medical groups. 

Prior to joining DaVita Medical group, Matt was a Vice President of Healthcare Investment Banking at Jefferies, where he led M&A, equity and debt transactions on behalf of healthcare companies. 

He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Florida State University.
